Sarah Lopez shows up for us.

Sarah was born at Wesley and raised in Sedgwick County in a union Machinist household. She attended Wichita Public Schools and graduated from Wichita Technical Institute’s Program for Information Technology and Network Administration. Immediately after graduation, Sarah began her 15-year career with the largest Catholic health organization in the United States. Sarah took on multiple leadership roles because of her strong work ethic and ability to be a solution-oriented part of a team.

Sarah is serving her first term as County Commissioner for Sedgwick County’s Second District, which includes parts of Wichita, Haysville, and Clearwater. Her healthcare background and technical experience have helped Sarah improve health services, attract more jobs, and reduce the tax burden for the hard-working people of District 2.

Sarah serves on multiple boards including HealthCore Clinic, Exploration Place, Habitat for Humanity, Mental Health and Substance Abuse Coalition, Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, and serves as the Vice President of the Haysville Education Foundation.

Sarah and her husband, Brent, live in Haysville with five children who range in age from a senior in high school to baby girl twins. Her children attend Haysville Public Schools and are engaged in football, swimming, and soccer within the district. Go Colts!
